EDITORIAL COMMENT:It baffles my mind why the big names in alternative energy did not make themselves known amidst the disaster to our south. Solar ovens could have cooked meals for the dislocated as well as for emergency crews. Portable wind turbines could have produced needed electricity. And generators should have run on biodiesel and even straight vegatable oil, especially with all the worry over shortages of petroleum.
